Swallowing is often overlooked in day to day life until something goes wrong. Laryngeal clefts are one of the reasons a problem could arise. They are usually detected in young children and procedures to close laryngeal clefts can be done. This thesis focuses on the closure of type 1 laryngeal clefts.
