The theme of isolation is something that has been with me for some time. From literally locking yourself up and running away from your problems to losing yourself in games and films. After arousing an interest in the human psyche, I discovered that one of my best friends is in isolation. After an extensive long conversation we come to the conclusion that it is more of a social psychological isolation. I therefore wondered where this "isolation" came from, where was the origin for him. For him it came from a depression; "You start to be ashamed of your environment", "you actually play clean ship". You are not happy where you are in your life. You keep reflecting everything, all the choices you've ever made are replayed and you wonder if this is what you should have done. You are in doubt about the choices you will make in the future.
How do I feel about isolation now?
As you can read in my research, isolation is a term that can be found and placed in many areas.
I personally think you should definitely take your own moments of rest. I also see these moments as a form of isolation. You consciously close yourself off from stimuli and / or people around you and at that moment you are only concerned with your own self. I often do this consciously myself. For me it is a moment of rest, a moment that I close myself and do my own thing (play video games, walk around or I get out my Paintball gun).
When it comes to isolation and the complete exclusion of the world around you, I sometimes find it extreme. A person is not made for isolation and no contact with the outside world. A person needs external stimuli and needs interaction. That is of course my opinion and I notice it myself.
